Travelling alone is not easy, nor is travelling alone on a budget. You might know. Music helps. So I wanna share my travel playlist. Because music makes all the difference.
It’s all up to me because I am responsible for my own comfort. Therefore I treat myself with good music.
Over time I managed to build a special travel playlist, which I always have on my phone.
The funny thing is that I cannot fall asleep to music… when I’m in bed, at home. But when I’m travelling, it’s usually noisy, and I have better chances closing an eye, listing to a familiar playlist. My travel playlist.
Here is a list of 14 of my favourite travel songs, to ease falling asleep and sets my good mood, no matter where I am or where I’m travelling to.
14 Songs to have on your travel playlist
Adele – Million Years Ago (Efe Tekin Remix)
Maná & Shakira – “Mi Verdad”
Beyoncé – Drunk in Love (Explicit) ft. JAY Z
Klingande – Jubel
Dishwalla – Angels or Devils
Jamie Lawson – Wasn’t Expecting That
ZAYN – iT’s YoU
FlyBoy – Maze (feat. Gavrielle & Jake Newton)
I found this in a mix on youtube. I also love listening to it while running or cycling. In my last official 10k race, this was on repeat!
Matchbox Twenty – Bent
Justin Timberlake – Suit & Tie (Oliver Nelson Remix)
James Blunt – Postcards
Ed Sheeran – Bloodstream
Samuel Barber – Adagio for Strings
Perhaps this may seem sad for some, but for me, it’s one of my favourite songs to listen to when I’m waiting for a plane to take off. Although the flight attendant always shouts to take my earbuds off while taking off, apparently it’s not allowed. I have to say I’m confused about this rule because Ryanair is the only airline with this policy. Other airlines had no problem with me listening to music while taking off.
Still trying to figure it out, but meanwhile, this is on my playlist and I love it.
And I love take-offs. You know that empty stomach feeling?! For me, it’s one of the small things that make life awesome.
And the last song I have to include on this list is the Backpacker song. It’s not a popular song, but I love it, and if you are a backpacker you will too. Just listen to the lyrics, I just love it! Great job dude, whoever you are! And thank you!
“I might be poor on gold, but I’m rich on life”
